Most of the terrain I like to look for sheds is still covered with snow, but reading this forum got me antsy to try. I hiked for several hours, didn't even see what appeared to be any even fresh track... how many of you have my kind of luck? First "brownie" and it's a broke-rack stump!I searched up and down a wash I found it in to no avail:(!...But, almost back to my truck, I found a bleached out 4pt. side...so, not a complete waste:)!Then I spotted this critter looking at me, lucky enough so far to dodge predators... the area she was in, I think they remove sheep prior to the hunts (usually in September).Interesting day to kick off my season!

Congrats NVPete on your first 2010 antlers. Its kinda suspicious though that you and that sheep were out there all alone miles away from anything. Ha ha, just joking. fatrooster.

Went back out to same area-she was still there!:) Actually, all I found is a couple of dink 3 pt. whiteys, but I thought the NV plate was a pretty cool find!
