Well he isnt the biggest, but with only having 36 hours to hunt and no scouting I will take it anyday. here is the story... left friday evening and drove through all the burners heading up to Pearl Canyon between 032 and 034 where we knew there were some good bucks. Apparently the area was a hip-hop club of hunters on the opener the weekend before. We got on 2 mid to high 70's bucks in the morning but couldnt get closer than 500 yards. we figured that 035 might have received less pressure so we decided to hunt the east side of that range just west of Bottle Creek Ranch. as we are driving we see this guy bedded down near some structure so we decided to leave him alone in the hopes he got up and moved up the canyon. About an hour later we got back and glassed him moving up the canyon that we were on top of. About 30 minutes later he bedded down and we were able to get within 340 yards of him and made the shot, clean kill and he never moved from the last bed he made.
