Bend, Ore. ? October 31, 2012 ? Nosler, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of their new line of AccuBond? Long Range bullets. Developed through a combination of bullet manufacturing techniques that are unique to Nosler, the design of the AccuBond?-LR allows for the highest B.C. possible in a bullet of the same caliber and weight. Designed with an optimum performance window ranging from 3,200fps to 1,300fps, the unique tapered jacket geometry and proprietary
bonding process of the AccuBond?-LR allow it to expand rapidly for effective energy transfer and significant tissue damage while retaining sufficient weight to ensure deep penetration into the vitals. The AccuBond? bonding process allows the AccuBond?-LR to perform reliably on game throughout the entire velocity range, eliminating the problem of being ?too close? often encountered with other high-B.C. bullets. The high-performance boat tail, long ogive, and polymer tip combine to make the AccuBond?-LR the sleekest, flattest- shooting, bonded, hunting bullet ever created. The ogive of the AccuBond?-LR is designed to provide excellent accuracy in a wide variety of firearms without the necessity of being loaded close to or in contact with the lands. The new AccuBond?-LR will be packaged in 100 count boxes, and will initially be available in the following calibers and weights.

Intersting. I have mixed feelings about this long range stuff, at lease wrt hunting. This year, opening morning at 7:15AM, I heard 7 shots with about 4-6 seconds in between each shot. I thought wow, that's some poor shooting. I later learned that it was someone shooting into a heard of cows and a bull across a canyon over 1500 yards away. What a shame...

It's about time!! That 150 gr .277 with a .625 BC looks very interesting for my 270WSM!

I still won't shoot at game much over 500 yards but with that high BC, it's that much more retained down range energy and wind cutting ability.

Thanks for the heads up!!

Joey

+1 to that Sage!

My wife shoots the .270 wsm and I have been looking to build a Pre 64 model 70 into something in the .270 cal and this puts me back on the trail!

Those BC's look pretty optimistic to me..we'll see..not only do they beat berger, lapua and hornady, they claim to do it with less weight..i dont see it happenin

Joey- I knew you would like those. I just got a 270WSM custom and am loving it.

Reddog- I assume those BCs are computer generated and who knows what velocity and conditions they are using. Even if they are a little less its still a gain in many aspects. Seems to me the design is a hybrid ogive and should be a fun bullet to test. I know you have shot a lot of bergers and I have also and will continue to. Just another bullet to test. The 1300 FPS expansion has me curious also.

Ca, good luck with that WSM. Some say that they are hype, i say they are one of the best cartridges out there. Does more with less!

Dog, yeah, Just like the idea of being able to have my cake and eat it too!

Had not heard about these until now. I guess thats what happens when your working 50hrs a week AND have a 4yr and 6yr old! I will def try them in the 270 and 7mm!

I hope they will be out soon...Lord i just got done working up dual loads for nearly every rifle i own using berger and barnes...If the BC of these holds true, i only need one bullet..not really sure how I feel about that!

You'd think i'd be happy, but damn i burnt a lot of powder the last few months getting my loads worked up, charts made bla bla bal.

Red I know exactly what you mean. Been tuning a few loads lately and now these are released. They are set to be out in March. Wondering what the price will be. Im hoping close to bergers.

Doubt it! Probably be considerably more, that's just guess though. Everything goes up, up, up!

i shoot180 accu bonds in my 300 wsm will give new ablr see how well they shoot might try them in my 30-378 as well

I've been killing stuff with the regular ones for a long time. I'm sure I'll try them. They beat the Berger all to Hell as far as I am concerned. A bit more BC would be cool though. mtmuley

talking with some people at nosler these bullets will be aval. the first quarter of 2013

These look very interesting. Nosler makes great bullets. Too bad there is no .257 in the initial launch.

No .338? Surprising as its clearly the best long range caliber ;-)

boot, doubt thats the case. The new Accubond is still bonded and not a thin-jacketed cup and core. The increased BCs will be nice for those of us that haven't bought into the Berger craze. mtmuley

Looking forward to loading some of the 210 grain for my 300 Win. The new B.C. ought to kick butt. Anyone have a date when they will be available? "REAL ELK GUNS START WITH THE NUMBER 3,AND SHOOT 2 HOLES ONE GOING IN, AND ONE COMMING OUT"
