Would it Be Fair to say:

Nearly 40 years ago!

The 5 lb Brown Trout I Caught in the River that We Rushed to the School & Put Him in the Fish Tank that Ate all the Gold Fish Might not Fly so well in Today's Society?

I Still Feel Bad for that Brown!

Poor Bugger Jumped one Night,Knocked the Lid off the Top off the Fish Tank & was Laying Dead on the Floor one Morning when We got to School!

When The Teacher found out the Brown Had Ate His Favorite Gold Fish there were Tears!

We Didn't Get Sued or Tried!

But that was nearly 40 years ago!

When I was a kid I used to stake puppies and kittens out and get in the tree stand and wait for a turtle to come along. I never lost any puppies or kittens because I was too fast on the trigger. I was a hero to all those puppies and kittens.

I don't like it a bit as I love dogs. Secondly you don't feed dying puppies to other animals. It's fine in nature but he should have taken the pup to a vet for euthanasia.

One additional thought. Why do you have to take a dog to the vet to put it down. Can?t tummy the reality yourself is he only thing I can think of. Civilization never would had survived from 0- 1960 AD with the current breeding stock.

It's fine to do it yourself . I saw a bad experience with that many years ago and I have no tummy for it again. Does that make me a PETA follower ? Don't think so. Dogs are a mans best friend and many hunters have hunting dogs or just pets.
This was a school thing 1911 so it is different.
I'm not going to bad mouth different opinions . I'm glad we can discuss things here . Now Im hungry and need some turtle soup. Good night !

Yup. Why not buy it a gerbil or a rat. Not an animal more typically associated with the term 'family pet'.

Oh, and the turtle had to be euthanized. I guess the teach got a twofer.
