Today the feds announced list of the Gunnison Sage grouse as threatenned under the ESA.

Nothing worse than being the Feds little b*tch while they experiment in your state!

The ESA is one of the worst things to ever happen in the United States!

If Sage Grouse were gonna do Good they'd be doing Good without the ESA/DWR/GOVERNMENT trying to Fix everything when in Reality they Can't/Won't Fix a GAWD-DAMNED thing!

Guess they got to have something for the Wolves to eat when they show up?

I guess there aren't any endangered species in the rest of the world that would stop us from drilling oil?

All of the endangered species live here in the states on oil rich land.

Who knew?

I wouldn't worry about it, they have fences and signs marking where the birds live and are supposed to stay....drill away.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-13-14 AT 08:13PM (MST)[p]Crock of chit!!! Apparently CPW data is not acceptable to the feds. Wonder what data they are using which can refute the 30 plus years of data the state of colorado has collected. Picking ong oil and gas is only one aspect as well. ALL ag within the protected areas will be impacted and cost our food growers plenty. New fencing, new methods prior to harvest or haying, decrease in grazing, reduced water resources for production... I could go on but am plenty pissed off at this moment as our richard breathe president is thumbing his nose at the voters even after the elections spoke rather clearly about the dems agenda.

Gonna add a picture of a BLM sign we saw today in some of the "supposed" grouse habitat which sums it up nicely...

aaahhh, the Feds and ESA!
Ya gotta love everything they do... to justify their own existence.
"Nose up our azz" is a better description than "foot in the door"!
God help us all and protect us from the the very people who are suppose to protect us!

Colorado is fighting back. It's a wasted effort IMO. Even if they win the law suit, the wacko's will just appeal it until some judge over turns it. Been there and done that.

DENVER - Colorado is responding to the federal government's decision to protect a species of sage-grouse with the political equivalent of flipping the bird.

It's written in the good Book that we'll never be asked to take more than we can. Sounds like a good plan, so bring it on!
