Evidence for a jackelope

This may be the smallest antler I have ever seen. Either it is a jackelope or the smallest buck in northern Utah. I was at the top of a ridge and stopped to catch my breath and looked down and it was 3 inches from my boot. I couldn't find the other side though. Has anyone ever seen an antler this small? Maybe I have but thought it was a doe. I included a picture of a 4 point found the same day. Nice antler but had been chewed up a bit.

Sory to debunk your theory but I killed a whitetail that was even smaller. Too bad they don't keep records for the smallest deer ever killed.

what a monster!

Dang man I never knew they got that small. I must be so concentrated on the big ones that I miss the small ones

Hey Big9, did you get him mounted, cause if you didn't I'd offer my services. I once mounted a buck my bro-in-law shot that had about a seven inch spike on one side and the other side was busted off. Gave it to him for Christmas, he got a kick out of it. Mounted one for a girl I worked with, for her husband last year for Christmas too - had a ten inch spikes with one inch long point on one of them.

some pictures of the second one.

jackelope, is correct, i hit 2 of them in wyoming last year one stuck in my tire didn't notice it untill my tire went flat.
the other inpailed the side of my truck right behind the back tire.
both of which i had mounted.
one 8 point and one 9 point.

Uncleantler, Don't give up on finding that other side. A buck that big won't pack that other side very far. Start by making circling patterns around were you found the last one........................ Laughing

I was fortunate enough to stumble across this "Mature" jackalope shed a while ago..

I did just find a cute little seven-inch spike; but after seeing a couple of the posts here, I guess it's even bigger than I knew...

Does anyone know where I can find a nice mature Jackelope skull?
I think there might be a market for reproduction skulls with all the sheds you guys are finding!
Thanks, Mike

Where the heck are you guys finding these Jackalopes's. I've been looking all my life.
I've only seen does! :)
