Any body on here draw a permit for the entiat archery? My brother and I did and are looking forward to getting to hunt over there again. Hoping for no snow for the gen. rifle boys this year!! nwhunter

Yep. My youngest and myself, plus a good friend who just too up
archery last year. I too hope the weather holds off for the rifle season. They certainly had it right last year. However, If I was a rifle hunter, I'd be quite happy with this nasty mess we have moving in today!

WE drew the first late season. HOw about you?

Just found out yesterday that my cousin in law drew the first late season tag. Should be interesting to see how the hunt unfolds.

whats up zane.

I got drawn for the early hunt nov 20-29 this year, never hunted there before. My cousin in law and his dad hunt there regularly and have taken some nice animals.Ilook forward to the hunt, but not lookin forward to huntin by myself.I have never hunted the entiat so any info would be great.

I did not draw again. You would think with 5 preference points we would draw but we have struck out again. You guys that got drawn, how many points did it take for you?
Shane

I had six points this year and my brother had 4 I think and he drew but we had to sit out last year so now how you feel. Looking for ward to getting to go back as the last year we were there before the permit thing we had some great opportunities we messed up on. Hopefully choosing the first season was right , we will see kind of up to the weather. Just to long between bow elk and late deer I need to hunt and we didn't draw colorado this year so hunting fever is getting bad and over a month to go!! nwhunter

This was the first year that I put in,and I got lucky. I have a few friends that have been applying for a couple years and have not gotten drawn though.I have not hunted there before but here it is usually a fun hunt.I was up there opening day of rifle to see the area a little.Didn't look like the rifle hunters were doin very well. But I am sure that alot will change in a month.Hopefully it will cool down and snow.If anyone on here wants an extra guy to hunt with them let me know.I am going to be huntin alone on the first late hunt.

Well the time is drawing close now! Sounds like lots of snow and the deer are down. Hopefully the rifle permit hunters leave us a few. Wonder how the rut is going and if things will still be rutty for the first archery hunt. Then there is the crunchy snow and fog!! Always something to fret about. Anybody else going? nwhunter

the bucks are still in love and a lot of deer are around. it warmed up today and melted some snow on the south facing slopes down low on the breaks. You guys should do really well, and its any deer so that will help.

Weather forcast doesn't look very promising, but that not stopping me. I may just leave the snow camo behind. Sounds like the rifle guys pulled a few out but there were only 40 in there so I think it's a good bet there will be 1 or 2 left for us.

So what is this weather doing over there now? I assume it has warmed up an dsome of the snow is melting off. Are they stil rutting? We are coming over Thanksgiving day and will hunt til Tuesday. Tks nwhunter

How are you late permit holders fairing in the fog? Can you guys see anything?
