Elk were quiet

But they are herding cows now. Sunrise was exquisite.
6 weeks left before my hunt opens.
The weather is changing. Hopefully my son will be helping me pack out a big one. I'm excited to see some pics both rifle and bow .

I'm not well versed in elk hunting but I would sit in that saddle and wait for a herd to come by.

I agree with 1911. Get the hell away from that hot lake! If any elk come to drink, at least you'd have an instant elk bronze but it would be difficult to pack out.
