elk unit 30

Was wondering if anyone might give me a little info on unit 30 bull elk hunt in Nov. (I think it's Nov. 1-30. Just wanted to ask a few general questions. I'm going to do some scouting before putting in for this hunt. Are the elk numbers good in this unit? Is access an issue to get up by the Montana border? I guess the elk migrate from Montana into Idaho from what I've heard. Have the wolves hit the unit hard? Is this hunt dependent on the snow? Just wondering if this a good unit to try for a bull( I'm not picky on the size of the bull) or are there alot better units.

30 is a as good a unit as any in ID. I like that it is a late hunt and just like the other late hunts snow really helps. Wolves are there and that is right in the beaverhead zone that shut down the wolf hunting on dec 31 which sucks. This used to be a primier area and it has gone down hill a bit, you can still find a good bull. a 330-340 is doable but a 300 is more realistic. good luck
