Elk Shed Sets

How common is it to find a complete set of sheds ? I've seen some shed sets in this forum but I'm wondering if that is unusual ???

From my experience one out of every 8 sheds will have it's match within 300 yards.

The biggest sheds I've found was a set that were laying on top of each other. I've searched for other matches for days without luck.

Here's my last four sets in two years that I know of in my honey hole...three found by me and one by a friend.

#1 Five feet apart, 330 class bull

#2 Monster fresh set, 334 bull, 50 yards apart

#3 Year old set, old bull, 1/4 mile apart in different terrain

#4 Fresh set, 14 yards apart.

Hope that helps. :)

In the last two years, I've found about eight sets that were lying nearly on top of each other. I've found several more within 500 yards or so of each other that could be sets, but I'm not really sure, as a bunch seem to be almost interchangeable. These number close to a hundred (the good wife is begging me to sell them). No arguing the ones that I've found laying together, though.

i don't look for elk sheds too often but the two times iv'e been out i found a set each time both about 50 yards apart and only one single. looked for the other side for 4 hours. I have found 5 mule deer sets, three were right next to each other and the other two were about 100 yards apart. total i have probably 100-120 muley sheds and 2 white tail
