As per Burnlounger's prompting, I'll share an elk set that I didn't mean to find. What? I had spent two weeks searching for the match to a beautiful & massive 5 point I found on Easter Sunday. I was rather nonsensically scrambling up a slope that I really didn't think any elk would inhabit when I found this nice set. About 20 yards, a large boulder, and a few bushes were all that separated them.

Quick Dog-gone story: One of my dogs took off when the band played, the fireworks blew, and the thunder roared back on the 3rd. A nice couple, 25 miles out of town, called this morning to let me know she showed up out there. Reckon she wanted to do some solo shed hunting. Go figure.
