elk rubbed out

scouting sunday nite,swore the rather large older bull I saw was completly rubbed out. It was getting dark & aways off so no pics, my friend says he thought he was rubbed also. anyone seen that this early before.

Will be very obvious .....the antlers be white. Could be a freak deal....but I never seen hard horned bulls end of july early august.......

most years here in Idaho the bigger bulls are all hard horned by the end of july.. by our aug 30th opener only the rags & spikes are still in velvet

Thanks oldhunter. Im scouting earlier than usual this year & was shocked to see hard horn & dark colored as well.

Usually around Aug 15, so only two weeks early. I could see it happening, but never have.
