Elk are dropping

Went out this weekend and seen two bulls that had dropped one side and another bull that dropped both already plus a couple bucks still holding on. this was in southern NM near Ruidoso has anyone else seen any dropping in NM

Every buck I saw last weekend in Southern New Mexico still had both antlers. This was everything from little forkies to some 10 and 12 point bucks. Didn't see any elk to know if they are dropping.

seems to be around april 1 before the majority start dropping around here.

I'm in utah, found 26 bulls all chillin together last weekend, all still had there headgear...

Generally right around the first week of April when I see elk start dropping in NM. All the bucks I saw last week while chasing barbarys still had all their head gear.

I have been watching 17 bulls for the last 2 months, and as of yesterday they are all still packin bone. This is in Northern Utah.

Was out yesterday near the Mayhill area, saw 2 bulls still packing and and 2 bucks one with one side still intack and the other had both on him.

Well I hope they shed sometime in the next week because I'm heading up that way to Mayhill soon.
