I always wear a life jacket, so I should be OK! It would take more than a little whale to scare this old tortoise hunter. I can't picture Roy in a kayak except in a mud puddle.
I used to worry about a Great White shark attack until I wised up and put a sign on my kayak.

That ALMOST happened to one of the fishing charter boats out of Eureka this year. The whale breached about 30 ft. from it. Several eye witnesses but no photo.
It's going to happen one of these days.
Several boats got their down rigger cables hung on whales this year. That will get your attention.
