ear protection for the old guy

I need some help from the group. I have lost a lot of hearing over the years and want to purchase a good set of hearing aids that will allow me to hear better and yet protect my ears from the high power rifle blast. What is a good pair of ear plugs to buy.

I resiliently had Harris and Sons give me a hearing test. They made me a set of what they call Lions Ears. They specialize in making hearing protection and enhancement for shooters and hunters. He is one of the best around and is a shooter/hunter himself. Dave Harris is who you want to see ,he is located in St. George. I am not sure where you are located ? Every shooter should have a set of these early on when they start shooting. I have suffered a little hearing loss and want to protect what I have .
