My huntin buddies are thinking about going on a back country hunt in northeast Oregon,elk and deer being from Washington st can anyone give me the heads up on any areas im thinking about doing a supplied camp through moss springs packing (an outfitter)it's a diy hunt.

Eagle cap wilderness has great opportunities of taking elk and deer. Also would recommend moss springs. Thinking of going this year myself, trying to round up the fellas, but looking like they can't go because of a moose hunt in the yukon. Can't make that one. If I don't go let me know how it goes, you should have a blast if you do. some beautiful country for sure.

BuckGrunt.....I was with clyde when we met those guys down in Puyallup. Looks pretty promising. I went so far as to go down to the Portland show on Thursday (3hr. drive) and talked to Norm for at least an hour. I unfortunately/fortunately however you look at it, am the one going on the Moose hunt, and riding 5pts. for archery elk here in WA. other wise, I think clyde and I would be going on the drop camp.
