DVD/computer help

I have some of my hunts on DVD. I'd like to get them on my computer to download but don't know how to save just a portion of the DVD to a file. Anyone know how to do it? Is it possible?

LAST EDITED ON Feb-21-11 AT 07:05PM (MST)[p]If it's a true dvd, copy over just the .vob file that includes the section you want and play it with vlc media player.
There should be programs that came with the pc to edit them too.

Will either Windows DVD maker, Windows Media Player or Windows Movie Maker be a program that can do it, you think?

DVD fab is free and could do it. Or open it like a data folder and follow the advice above.
