I am also from IF. I have some areas around here but they dont seem to produce many horns. Maybe you can share some of your experience with me. I have some skulls and sheds like your latest post, but I dont know how to post pictures, maybe you could help me out on that to. Thanks. My email address is [email protected].

THERE ARE ALOT OF PLACES THAT CAN PRODUCE 20-30 SHEDS IN A DAY OF WALKING RIGHT UP AROUND BONE. ALSO YOU CAN GO TO WILLOW CREEK AND WALK THE SIDE HILLS LOT OF MOOSE SHEDS QUITE A FEW DEER SHEDS AND FOR ELK I USE TO GO UP TO THE TEX CREEK WINTER RANGE AND WALK THE RIDGES DO YOU KNOW WHERE SKYLINE RIDGE IS? YOU CAN ALSO FIND ALOT OF WHITETAIL SHEDS ALONG THE SNAKE RIVER UP BY HEISE. I'M SURE IF YOU GO TO THESE PLACES YOU WILL FIND WHAT YOURE LOOKING FOR

Hey guys i think i will go try those places in the morning since they are my back yard. Gee and now everyone can enjoy them.

Go ahead I'm willin to bet you can't cover all that ground in day anyway. by the way who lives in I.F. and doesn't know about those places? you dont even have to be a sportsman to know about them .

I don't think you realize how many seriouse horn hunters live within 30 miles of these places and watch this site and see everything you say and post. You are right, most of these guys know about those spots and there are more and more that show up every year. Advertising is the most proven way to get someone to try or look at something. So make sure you let everyone know where you are from and post every horn you find. And I'll see you and all of our new friends on the hill.

sorry bigole5 if you are offended for the info that droptine shared. He is right though, everybody and there dogs know that there are animals wintering in these areas. I hope poeple have enough courtesy to respect the animals and the bone hunters around. Especially in these areas where tons of people trash the country side and everyhting else. I say we should all enjoy the outdoors how we please as long as we let others do the same.

I AGREE IF I WANT TO SHARE INFO WITH SOMEONE TO HELP THEM ENJOY THEIR EXPERIENCE THATS UP TO ME AND NO-ONE ELSE SO I TOO AM SORRY IF I OFFENDED YOU BUT TO EACH THEIR OWN THE OUTDOORS ARE THERE FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO GET ENJOYMENT OUT OF THEM IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM.

Trust me guys no offense taken. I am not trying to stop you from sharing an experience. That is what this site is for! I do however think, if you feel like you want to share specifics on where you might go. A private message is a good way to do it. But I do hope you see where I am coming from. Everyone we advertise to on this site by giving locations and then showing a bunch of nice sheds, is likely to try some of those spots looking for what you are showing them. For every new guy we give the idea to, or general location, is one more guy we potentially put on the hill with us and the animals. You may see it different and if so as you say, to each their own.

Good luck guys

Hey guys, thanks for the info on where to go. I am visiting family in IF and my brother here knows the places you recommended, so I put my boots on.
We tried the Hiese/snake river area first (lots a private ground) Found a nice Whitetail set and some singles, will post them if I can figure out how.
Then on Saturday we went to one of the other areas you spoke of but I will not say where cause I want to go back. We saw some bulls that had dropped so we spent the afternoon there and found three nice elk sheds (would like to post them too)
I must admit I won't have to spend much time and gas looking for a decent area to hunt while staying with family in IF. Thanks and good luck.
