Little Mtn is the most popular spot in the area, obviously. After the archery opener the elk get spread out a bit. Odds are you'll be in the cedars looking for a bigger bull. Archery can be very good in the area. I witnessed the largest herd of elk (most bulls I've ever seen in a herd in a huntable area) head off of Little Mtn on the morning of Sept 1, 2007. Lots of people camp on top and the elk get pushed down the edges and into the cedars. If I saw a 300" bull he would get shot at. PM me if you want more specifics.
