Draw Stop Pin on Cam Question

First off, I am newer to posting on this site but have been an avid fan for the past four years or so. This site is awesome and I am appreciative of everyone who contributes to it. To that I say thanks to Founder and everyone else.

I am now 9 days from my final drawing of the year. I struck out in Utah, Arizona and Colorado. Now it is crunch time for NM. Good luck everyone.

I just purchased my first bow package and man am I hooked!!! It is awesome to go in the backyard and shoot all I want. My set up is as follows:

Hoyt Vectrix XL in 31" Draw set at 65 pounds.
Montana Black Gold 5 pin sight.
Quality Archery Design Drop Away Hunter Rest.
Trophy Ridge Xchanger Stabilizer.
Scott Archery Little Goose Release.
I am shooting 430 grain 29" Easton Epic Arrows with Blazer Vanes and will either hunt with 100 grain Wac'em XL or Slick Trick broadheads.
My bow is shooting this set up just over 280 fps at about 75 pounds of energy.

I shot about 100 arrows on Saturday (throughout the day in-between chores). I must have drawn back to hard and now each time I draw, my draw stop pin on the bottom cam slips under the string and then holds the string from firing. What do I need to do to fix this. My closest dealer is 90 miles from my house.

Thanks in advance.

First off do not draw the bow anymore. You have what they call Cam lean. Or you may have bent the draw stop. You need to Send it Back to Hoyt they will be happy to warranty it for you and fix the problem. Call them and ask them how to get it to them. I would not continue to shoot until it is fixed.

You can remove the stop on that bow and send it back to be replaced. You can shoot it without the stop. It will not shoot the same but you should be able to shoot it.

I would call the like suggested here,

Archer

I would take a real good look at it while drawing the bow to see what is happening. I have the same cam design on a vulcan and there is no way it will pass the draw stop unless something is seriously wrong. If you can't figure out what is wrong, take it to a dealer, do not shoot it. It could be a cam problem and if shot like this without the draw stop, you ay create a bigger problem. I think the draw stop is too short to actually bend enough to let the string past.
