Maybe they get a smart phone so they know what the weathers gonna do. 7am yesterday was warm and calm, but I didn't race out to grab 24' sheets of tin to put on the pole barn I'm buildin cause my phone said high wind warning. 40mph by 7:15, peak gust 76mph!

Ice on the rotors isn't anything to effff around with. I've been in two crashes. The only time I was sucking up a seat cushion was a day flight over the Wasatch range. We were on our way back from an air show for special needs kids in Colorado. We decided to take a sight seeing tour over the mountains. Started snowing, kinda icy looking out when I heard the change of pitch in the main rotors which indicates an ice buildup.

Never crashed but, came way too close.
