News loves this stuff. Maybe its new to Florida but we have been living with these for years here in Texas. Had a little boy get killed about a month ago here at a summer camp. Its a bummer but kind of like getting struck by lightning.

An eleven year old girl in South Carolina just died from it this week. She caught it swimming in a river. Earlier in the year an 18 year old from Ohio died from it also. She caught it in a North Carolina water park.

It isn't anything new, it's always been around. Usually it's very difficult to contract.
