Does anyone hunt sheds in Northern Wy?

It has been way too long to wait for the huge sheds to fall, but the time is slowly passing. In the year of 2004, my brother and I found 62 brown elk sheds with only a few mule deer sheds. Our biggest elk set gross scores at 372, plus with another couple sheds measuring in the 350 range. With Yellowstone National Park close to where we horn hunt the bulls are huge, but no bulls we have found score near 400, but this year may change. Does anyone else hunt Northern Wyoming for sheds? I wish the best for all horn hunters. I also need help posting these pics for you all to enjoy.

Not usually but I will be now that I read your post......where exactly do you hunt horn? (drainage,creek,mtn. etc) Notellum ridge? Or there abouts?

We mostly look for horns town around the BigHorns. But mostly we horn hunt near yellowstone. Not the biggest bulls, most of the size we find are around 300. But a sheds a shed no matter how small or big. We really only find elk, not many deer in the areas we look for sheds. I can't give away my hunting areas because that would be like selling you my girlfriend, and I couldn't do that.

Tucker...I was just giving you a hard time....I have no intentions of hornin in your neighborhood...I would imagine that the areas surrounding the park is crawling with shed hunters....of course,where aren't they crawling all over?

the shed hunters really aren't that bad, but i hate other shed hunters in my areas that I hunt. You walk all day and then you see one guy in your area, nothing could make you more pissed off.

You Shed hunt in Montana? Do you shed hunt near Missoula?
I am heading up there for college in the fall of next year. I live in Powell, WY near Yellowstone. I have to find some place to shed hunt, or I will go insane. Please Help!!!!!!!!

good luck i went to school in missoula graduated in spring of 99. now back home to utah. i tried to get out some you can set at the library and look at the hill behind and watch whitetail and muleys all the time. tough to find sheds way to many people. i ran into one guy that only worked a part time job and the rest he hiked and picks up sheds and then sells them, some he made stuff with then sold. by end of feb. he said he had hit every spot he knows within 200 miles of missoula. it is a beautiful town with two rivers running on by. i miss it up there but from here and here is where family is and better pay and more job opportunity in my field. all the best to ya.

I know what you mean! I visited my sister for Thanksgiving! That hill behind the library was covered with deer. Couldn't see if they were bucks or not. Do you shed hunt in Utah much. I've heard the pressure from other hunters is really high?
