My 16 year old son drew an antelope tag for central Utah. We had some fun. Went out opening weekend 1st part of November. Saw zero antelope, and lots of elk. Dumb me didn't even think to bring muzzleloader, since both sons had a tag, and it's an open bull area. Saw close to 100 elk and several bulls. Oh well.
Had a few obligations for a few weeks and finally made it out after Thanksgiving. Right off, Saw lots of antelope. Made a few stocks, but #3 of the morning was successful. As we climbed up the mountain, yes mountain side on the back side to sneak in and peak over the ridge to the hillside they were on, my buddy belly crawled while I sat patiently with Lance to hear where they were. I looked over, and we were the ones being stocked. 2 came right to us. My son made the shot. It was awesome. My friend on his belly had no idea what happened, it was pretty funny.
