IF POSSIBLE GET A CARIBOU, BLACK BEAR & WOLF TAG.....NOT MUCH MORE $$$$. DO NOT SHOOT A MOOSE IN THE WATER.....YOU WILL BE SORRY !!!! ALSO .......YOU WILL ENCOUNTER WOLVERINES AS I DID, GREAT TROPHY. ITS A FUN HUNT......EAT SOME MOOSE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THE BIG BEARS WILL BE AROUND......CARRY ENUFF GUN!!! I CHOOSE A .338 WIN. MAG 250 GR. BARNES......HAVE FUN. (OH....TAKE A HEAD NET, AND GET SOME DEET FOR THE BUGS)...................YD.

Go book a drop hunt w/ 40 mile air. Fairbanks area is tough for a DIY moose hunt unless you have an airboat.

50 lbs gear per hunter YukonDall? That's always tough for me to make 50 lb pack.

Start your backpacking workouts NOW! Those things are huge and you will regret killing it in water or too far from your extraction point.
With that said, have a super trip and shoot a big one!

I BELIEVE I GOT 75 LBS. PER MAN, NOT COUNTING MY RIFLE. THEN RENTED A STOVE,AXE, LANTERN AND RELATED GEAR. TOO FAR TO HAUL EVERYTHING, I FLEW WITH KETCHEM FLYING SERVICE...........YD.
