A while ago I posted about a small bull I had been glassing in a canyon and I was wondering when his sheds were going to drop. It had been a couple weeks since I had last seen him and unfortunatly when I found him again he had "dropped" before his sheds did.
When I found him he had only been dead for a few days tops and up close I could tell he was really skinny and was a natural winterkill. That is nature for ya but it is too bad he couldn't of toughed it out a couple more weeks as winter is almost over. Granted it was through a spotting scope from a few hundred yards away but last time I spotted him he looked pretty healthy so it was a suprise to see him piled up. Here are some pics.
Any way to tell how old he is other than teeth? I didn't even want to touch him to check.
On the lighter side my friends little brother found a couple of nice deer sheds to end the day.
