I'm looking at picking up a Diamond Razor bow package for my girlfriend since she has expressed a interest in learning to shoot .

Not being a cheap skate , but I'm looking for the best price I can find . What are some of the best places to find a bargain . I have been watching KSL classifieds . Is there other websites that have good bow deals ?

Huntersfriend.com I believe has some pretty decent deals provided there isn't a Bowtech/Diamond dealer within a certain distance from you, I think it is like 30 miles or something like that (by way of the crow flying). They have ready to shoot packages to your door for 479.00, give them ring and see if you qualify for the to your door package, if not then you will have to drive to the dealer that is closest to you, cause Huntersfriend.com wants you to support your local archery pro shop.

Thanks WV . I actually have a Cabelas pretty close to me , and they had the package for around $320 or around there . The guy at the counter said they where the 2010 model and if I can wait a bit the price will go down when the 2011 model comes out .

Guess I'm all ready looking at a pretty good deal , and just need to loosen the purse strings , and stop being soo cheap . LOL

Sounds pretty good, but drop a few extra coins on a better rest and sight for the bow. Usually the ones they install on them are good to start with, but more often than not they are garbage. Stabilizers that are installed are usually a Sims type stabilizer (or a knockoff brand type) that are pretty decent. If I were going to get a bow from Cabela's or Bass Pro, I would upgrade the sight first along with the rest, then after that is up to you. Most of the entry level carbon arrows are pretty good, I shoot Gold Tips and I really have to work at destroying them. I wouldn't go crazy on a release, just get a wrist strap type release, just make sure it has a buckle fastener rather than a Velcro fastener, buckle will ensure the same position on the wrist everytime. Best of luck in your purchase and good shooting to your little lady.
