OK my new truck is on the way and I'm looking at my old diamond plate tool box. It sure looks dull. Any ideas on how to make it shine again? I hate to put this on a new truck but don't want to buy a new tool box.

When we used to get our cattle trucks washed at the truck stops they put some kind of acid in the water. Not sure what kind, they just called it "acid washing". I also know that after you use it you will have to keep it up evry few months or wax it. Most diamond plate tool boxes have some sort of coating on them and the acid will remove it but makes the aluminum look brand new. But like I said if you dont wax it after it will dull up in a few months.

IF YOU CAN AFFORD A 40,000.00+ TRUCK YOU CAN SURELY AFFORD A NEW TOOL BOX,LOL!!!

SOME OF THE OLD ALUMINUM IS HARD TO SHINE BACK UP!!!

ALOT OF THEM HAVE SOME KIND OF COATING THE SUN BURNS OFF!!!

KINDA LIKE THE NEW CLEARCOAT PAINT,IT'S JUNK!!!

YOU MIGHT TRY 'MOTHERS' BRAND & A POWER BUFFER & SEE IF IT'LL WORK???

GOOD LUCK!!!

THIS IS MY NEW GUN,YOU MAY NOT LIKE IT,YOU'LL LIKE IT A HELL OF A LOT LESS WHEN IT HITS ITS DESTINATION!!!
