Deer Waiting period

I'm guessing I am only eligible to apply for a general deer tag since I drew an LE deer tag last year? The waiting period is 2 years? Thanks....

Are general deer bonus points really needed to draw a general deer tag?

and bull elk permits
Utah Admin. Rule R657-62-19
The waiting period for buck deer and buck
pronghorn is two years. The bull elk waiting
period is five years. Waiting periods do not apply
to general-season permits.

You must be refering to preference points. Preference points are used for general season hunts. Bonus points are for LE,OIL tags.
Preference points for general season hunts are needed in specific units. Especially southern Utah if you want a guranteed tag. I hunt up north so usually preference points aren't needed. It all depends on where you want to hunt.

HeyWiz, like Billybob said. A few units you willneed preference points, but most last year you did not. However, with last year beingthe first, who knows what will play out this year.
