I went out shed hunting/scouting yesterday. I was snowshoeing my butt off to get back into where I wanted to be and all of a sudden I hear a low rumble come up from behind me and pass me at 30 mph. It was a snowmobile. He put all the deer on alert and scared some of them into their hinding spots so much for a scouting trip. By the way this is my first post ever and I just got into antler hunting last season. I look forward to hitting it hard this year.

I know what everyone is thinking. I always here of people watching deer before they shed I did it with snow shoes not from the road. It's called high power optics from a high vantage point. I know how to not run the deer around. Henche the snow shoes not the snowmobile. Sorry if I sound like a smart a@$, but it was mostly a scouting trip if I ran into a shed on the way in or out it would have been a bonus

If you think the snowmobiles are bad then wait till the snow melts...... Then you get to deal with the 4-wheelers.

Good luck this year.

There's no reason you can't get out in field and pic up some bone right now. Deer move around, you would have to be stupid to run the deer out of you favorite shed hole. Went out last weekend seen about 80 deer in my favorite spot just watched from a distance. Went back out this morning deer moved out so I went for a walk, and picked up my first brownie of the year.

Start the bashing, and let me know how stupid I am.

3X4 you are by far the best shed hunter on these forums. I've never seen such dedication.
