Looks like opening day of the Deer Hunt.
Trucks pulled off in every nook & cranny.
I did see 2 guys almost back to their rigs today,the one guy had a shed but I didn't get a good look at it,the one rig was a tan or silver Chevy/GMC Pickup & the other vehicle parked right by it was a White Jeep.
Thursday didn't look any different,I'd say you'd have to take time off of work to compete or maybe not have a job altogether.
I done a little glassing,with the exception of a few bigger Bulls,most Bulls are still packin.
Good Luck & watch out for the elbow to elbow action,lol!

I think that when Nevada gets that bad I'll just quit shed huntin' and concentrate more on coyote huntin'. fatrooster.

I stayed closer to home this morning and found 40 cows feeding and trying stay low out of the wind. It had to have been blowing about 40 up where I was. Got skunked on sheds, but didn't have any competition to deal with either. The big bull I filmed earlier in the year has disappeared, but I'll find him and his sheds sooner or later.

thats how daniels always is. what part of utah are you from apparently close to heber? pm me. i find a few horns from daniels every year. and more from the bulls that move out of there. word on the street last i heard was youd get ticketed for parking there.

That place is a circus with all the people, used to hit it alot but i havent set foot there since the 2002 spring.

This guy is just trying to discourage people from shed hunting in Daniel's Canyon so he can have it to himself. I was up there last Friday and there was a total of 1 other truck pulled of I'm assuming shed hunting.

I hiked all day long and got skunked but I saw no other foot prints anywhere. Daniels canyon does get hit very very hard but it isn't yet. I saw a lot of Elk sign but only saw 2 Elk all day.

One thing that has been true for me though is that you have to do a lot of hiking to find a few sheds.

What exactly are you guys looking for? Deer Antlers? The elk have not dropped yet, so it seems like a waste of time to go push all elk out of there before they even drop.

I'd say 15-20% of them that I saw yesterday had dropped.

That's pretty early, the ones I have been watching are still packing. I'm watchin over 20 bulls and not one has dropped yet. But I'm In Northern Utah about 2 hours away so maybe the bulls up here haven't got the word yet.
