I assume some of you use one now or have used them before. I have one that I got at a show a couple of years ago from a local company www.getoat.com. It's called the "slope shot". I am wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing you're experiences with them (cut charts that is or the "slope shot")?...if you use cut charts all the time?...if so, where do you put them?..(i.e. on your bow?on your wrist guard? etc.) I am more interested in seeing how many use cut charts. If you have pics that would be great too. I'm just trying to see how many use them and where you feel is the easiest place to put them that they can be easily visible while hunting.

Any input would be great.
GOOD HUNTING!!!!!

I have not used mine yet. But downhill shots have cost me 2 bucks. I plan on putting my cut chart on my arm guard. I hope to have good news about it after Saturday.

I bought an arm guard that has a slot for the cut chart. I bought it last summer at Utah Archery Center. Pretty handy, but I did not get a chance to use it last year.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-17-07 AT 09:10AM (MST)[p]When used in conjuncton with an angle finder they can help you accurately compensate for the difference between your rangefinder reading and the actual distance. These are most useful in steep terrain, making your uphill and downhill shots more accurate. You can get a small angle finder to your rangefinder to complete the system.

Is the chart for shooting at downward angles only? What about shooting at an upward angle?

I use mine all the time. I have a slope meter mounted to the side of my rangefinder and i have a shrunken down cut chart taped to the other side of my range finder. Works real good. Use it everytime i am hunting. Very essential piece of equiptment where most of the terrain i am hunting is no less than a 25 Degree pitch.

I put my Cut-Chart on my arm gaurd. OAT will be coming out with an arm gaurd soon, designed for the cut-chart. If you contact them you can get one printed on weatherproof paper at a small cost, or you can download them for free. http://www.getoat.com/page6.html And yes Coloradoelkhunter they have up hill and down hill readings.

Onward and upward.
