Cow elk hunt for youth

Hello,
Looking for a good place to take my son or daughter on good high sucess cow elk hunt. Would like it to be a public land DIY or with private land tresspass fee if reasonable. I have all the gear, therefore no need for a guide. Just do not want to walk/work my kids to death, just looking for a fun, fairly easy meat hunt for them. Some units I researched have great dates that run into the winter months that would make it easer to take them out of school around Thnaksgiving. Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

Do they have any points for elk? There are some great youth cow tags. Also there is some LOP tags around that sell at some of the benefit auctions. Forest Capitol (Boise Cascade) lands have some great opportunities.
