I have heard that if you are hunting in an area where ranchers have ahd their cows all summer and into the winter that if you spread cow crap on your boots that works really well, any one else hear of this? rump.
I don't really know if it works or not but I always step in cow patties to cover my scent. Guess I feel it's better than rubber soles. I don't exactly "spread" it all over either. Just step in it and keep walking. It usually coes right off after several hundred yards of hiking too. I also step in ash if I'm hunting a burn.
