Deep down Id like to shoot a Couse when I come down for my pronghorn hunt in a few years. We will be applying for a Region G non res tag to couple with our pronghorn unit. I know its a decent mule deer unit, but are there any places, public preferably, where I can chase the whities?

There are a few whitetails (Odocoileus virginianus) in the central part of Star Valley around the river. I believe the Coues (Odocoileus couesi)are a smaller subspecies of whitetail and I doubt there are any in Wyoming. Other places may have small pockets of whitetails. The North Central and North Eastern part of the state is better known for whitetails. Sheridan and that area have quite a few.

Definately no coues in WY. You have to go to AZ, NM, or MX, and they are about 1/2 the size of the whitetails up north.
