Couple of opening day lopes

Went out opening morning hoping to find a couple antelope to put in the freezer. These guys looked rather tasty. Had them loaded in the pickup and on our way home by 9am.

My buck is 14" and my wife's is a little shy of 13".

This guy watched the whole show...hopefully he gets a little smarter in the next few weeks.

They do look tasty, but that's not all. Those bucks are nothing to sneeze at - I'd be happy with either one.

I am very pleased with the way our hunt went. I would probably shoot either of those bucks on any given year and not think twice about it.

The only disappointment of the whole hunt was that I shot mine high in the back and ruined part of the backstraps.
