Ummmm... are you nuts?

Hope everything goes well.

Good for you and your wife. We did that with our last one. Due to complications my son (now 5) was born with 6 firemen standing in my bedroom waiting for him. Those men will always be heroes to me as they saved his life. Still chokes me up to think how close we came to losing him.

No baby yet. Long night of labor and she's exhausted. I figured I'd get a bit of grief for having the kid at home but my wife and I aren't really fans of our failing medical system. I'm kickin it old school, chances are most of you old timers were born at home.
Jesus was born in a stable. :)
Thanks for the well wishes, pray for a quick delivery today, my wife is exhausted!

Why not? If something goes wrong, you can just try again, or find a new wife. No big deal. Sorry for not agreeing. Vitals on the baby should be monitored, as should your wife's. If things go right, you will be grateful and happy. If things go wrong you will be forever remorseful and full of guilt. Your decision, but I sure wouldn't want to take that chance with my family. I probably should keep my opinion to myself, but if your wife is still struggling, do the right thing. Best of luck!

She's gonna be pissed when she finds out you're on mm while she's in labor....

Are you a Dr.? Hospitals make total sense...The U.S. is 40th in the World for newborn mortality rates. Where are most of those births taking place? Yup, in hospitals, with Dr.s monitoring the mother and child.
I'm just hoping your post was sarcastic, otherwise you're a complete #####.

Sorry if I offended you. It wasn't meant to. Just so much can go wrong, especially if it is the first baby your wife has had. No, I'm not a Dr., but I know what it feels like to lose a child. Hope all goes well.

Heck with the foreceps, if that baby stays in there much longer you might need a backhoe and a tow strap

Congrats and glad all is well!

4 best days of my life were when my kids were born. Don't blink, my oldest daughter graduated high school this year and is off to college in less than two months.

Congrats to you and mom!!!

As for home vs. hospital... I've a few friends that have had babies at home without problems. I would have lost a couple of little ones and a wife if I'd gone that route. A decision only the parents can make.

CONGRATS! Won't be long and you'll have a great HN10FSH partner. Get the little one out young and often. The years go by fast! My youngest is 10 and my oldest (twins) are 14. Seems like yesterday we were at Washoe for the twinns. One long night, 14 hrs of labor and then an emergency C-section. That night I discovered just how tough my wonderful Wife is!
