How many have my luck? After hiking pretty rugged country for more than five miles, and hoping to find elk sheds, this is all I found; and I took picture while looking uphill.Great wildlife though: dozens of wild horses, 1 coyote, a small group of deer(in their summer coats already!!), and two elk bustin' through the trees...all on video, so I had a good day.

That's great Nvpete, I hiked 1/2 day today and found nothing. I did watch a fox get a mouse, he didn't know I was watching him. then the storm rolled through, I found the only tree with in miles and hid under it. Great find !!!!

Looks like a nice tripod buck! That is one thing about shedhunters... when you hike for as many miles as we do we become experts at being satisfied with whatever we find! : )

On your way up the mountain, don't forget to look back and enjoy the view.

Forgot to attach a pic after I got it home...yeah, a tripod fork, but with weak main beam, lower fork; still a cool shed!

Sweet shed!! I'd make one correction to your post though, Wild Horses should say FERAL HORSES.

Its lonely at the top.... just the way I like it.

One of the best parts about shed hunting is that when you find one with a weak main beam and short crabby front, and decide to take it, your hunt isn't over.

Cool find!
