Computer help

Hope some one can help me out with a computer question . When I try to look at some of the pictures on the forum all that is showing up is a little box where the picture should be .
Some of the other forum posts show the pictures no problem . I'm not very computer savy , so any help would be great .

If it is a hit and a miss, how old is the post on here? Some pictures are not there as the poster person probably made a mistake and had not corrected the link.
If it is a old post, most likely the pictures are no longer available from the person who posted the thread.

I go back every few years and delete the pictures, but then I have a lot of pictures on my computer and takes up a lot of space, so I sort of weed them out.

I'm wondering if it has some thing to do with pop up blocker on my computer . Its recent posts that I'm looking at , and members will comment about the picture .
