Lisa at Wild Skies and Flat Tops Hunting, has available a very nice cabin along with 70 private acres that is surrounded by Routt N.F. on three sides. Access to some fine hunting is just outside the door.

$2,875 per hunter (taxes are included in price – base price w/o taxes is $2500). Extending your trip additional non-hunt days cost $750 per day for up to six people plus taxes. Included are: trespass through private property giving access to federal forest, and accommodations in a brand new, 3,500+ sq. ft, 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath, four season, mountain retreat with radiant in floor heat, which can sleep up to 12 individual hunters (horses, day guiding in GMU 24, packing out game and meals are not included but can be provided for an additional fee).
The cabin is a secluded, higher end, fit and finish cabin/mountain home in GMU 12 in NW Colorado and borders the Routt National Forest on three sides and is located on 70 private, heavily wooded acres on the Flat Tops National Scenic Byway between two mountain passes in the heart of the largest elk herd in the world at 42,000+ animals There are corrals onsite if you wish to bring a horse or horses can be rented a mile from the site. You can drive right up to the cabin and hunting is done on foot or horseback. If archery hunting GMU 231 offers unlimited over-the-counter either sex elk archery licenses and is located just 2.5 miles from the cabin with trails starting at about 5 miles from the cabin.
Perfect for family, friends or clients, the cabin offers ½ mile of river frontage where some of the purest species of cutthroat trout can be found along with excellent brown and rainbow trout. Within a few miles of the cabin are numerous back-country hiking/horseback riding/mountain biking trails which lead to hundreds of miles of streams, rivers and over one hundred lakes, ponds and reservoirs for fishing. It is the perfect storm of locations for Black Bear. The river offers some of the best riparian habitat for berry growth which attracts the bears, local rancher herd sheep on some of the nearby public lands (bears love lambs) and the vegetation bears forge for their hibernation is found in aspen groves which are abundant not only on the property but also in the surrounding national forest. The cabin is centrally located on the northern end of the Flat Tops: one hour from Steamboat Springs Resort - world renowned for skiing, spas, restaurants and festivals (especially in the winter) and it is also one hour from Craig, Colorado.
Summer scouting trips are also available for $750 a night plus taxes for up to 6 people and an additional $75 per person, per night for each additional person (4 night minimum). Sorry no pets, but horses are welcome in our corrals and you can ride directly from our corrals straight into the wilderness through the Routt National Forest.
