Colorado Sheep Draw

I could not wait any longer and called the dow. Felt bad for being impatient, but - they did give it to me verbally. Username still applies.

YEE HAW!!! Unit 20 archery ram! Looks like my summer will be filled with scouting. Damn, I guess I better get off my arse and get in sheep shape!

I got lucky, real lucky, archery tag for me, S44, DonV is sheep hunting! I had 1 shy of max pnts if anyone wonders. As a NR I got real lucky. I plan to give this hunt 100% and go for 3 weeks. No guide.

Don V... I've been watching your posts on the Bowsite with much anticipation. I had the same info as you when I tried to buy a habitat stamp, but didn't want to get prematurely excited. Congrats on your tag, I hope you let the air out of a bruiser!

3 and 8...+ the 6 or 7 I had before they took us to 0.
I hope they give prizes to who ever dies with the most weighted
points.Zeiker I will try to PM you.

Had my girlfriend check the results for me yesterday while I was on the road. Thought that I would double check them at work this morning since I thought she may have been looking at the goat results...

SHEEP SUCCESSFUL HABITAT STAMP POSTCARD* 1ST CHOICE: SMS15O1R

I am speechless. Any advice??

I just checked and I drew unit 66 (rifle). I'm stunned!!
I hunted unit 60 (Cripple Creek) solo about 10 years ago and took a 5/8 curl ram. I'm looking at this as my last chance, so I want to make it count. Anyone got any advice on outfitters/guides?

I know him and a couple of his guides...they kill sheep.

Brad,
Sorry to hear about your lousy luck once again. You never have sent me an e-mail so I can send you a few pic's.

Point again here as well.

Major congrat's to you guys that drew.
I'm fired up for all of you.

You guys with the archery tags, y'all are
badazz gentlemen. I salute you.

Go get'em guys. Expect cool kill pics.

My bow tag means I am sheep hunting, my biggest worry is not finding sheep but maintaining composure for the shot. I will not look so bad as when I am shaking like a little girl and miss by 20 feet!

Luck was finally on my side, drew tag for S6 (pikes peak area) for first rifle. Still need to figure out if I go DIY or look for a guide. Any suggestions on outfitters in this area? Also, looked at the DOW population estimates, if I read them correctly looks like the population noise dived this laster year from 300 to 140, does anyone know the cause and how the heard is now?

Thanks,
Mark

DonV,

I hunted that unit a number of years ago. I'm willing to give the limited knowledge I have in a PM. If I can figure out PM's here.

I drew the second hunt on S-32, Georgretown, Can anyone tell me what to expect as far as quality and number of sheep? I am also open to any suggestions that you might have. You can PM me or
email me at [email protected]
Thanks in advance, Mark
