Colo Sheep and Goat Dates

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed but the CDOW has posted the prospective dates/tag numbers for the upcoming 2009 season. I'm a little baffled why they would push the G4,7,15, and 16 seasons a week later than they have been? I had a buddy that drew a late season tag in G16 this year and could barely get back to the goats due to all the snow. 1 week later and it could be even more of a nightmare!

Maybe the CDOW is pushing dates later so the harvest success will be lower and there "may" be a few more billies that actually make it past 3 years old! I can't believe they haven't cut tag numbers in those units! 36 goat tags in G16 is definitely overkill!

Jim,
I believe that 7, 15 and 16 are later in order to push them after Labor Day weekend, which is a week later this year. Reduces conflicts with the non-hunting recreationists. Not sure why 4 is later, as it was already after Labor Day.
