Doc ? Why waste a perfectly good Pepsi ? ? I have been looking at golf ball cannons. We have a lot of golf balls around here in Saint George. Being a plumbers kid. We would make cannons out of a 3/4 pipe capped . Would get the ladle out and melt some lead and make projectiles. Not very pretty but it was all available in dad’s plumbing truck. ???

When I was 16 and worked at the Boy Scout camp (a few years ago 
) , we had a homemade cannon that shot a 12 gauge shell packed with black powder. We fired it at ceremonies, and sometimes in the middle of the night. Big boom and lots of smoke!!
Looks like some of these will make a big boom as well!

Many years ago I knew a contractor who made a cannon that shot golf balls. If memory serves me right I think a schedule 40 pvc pipe served as the barrel. I saw him shoot a golf ball completely through a sheet of 1/2" plywood. This was back when the potato gun was all the rage. I made several variations of those.
