So I know I'm down to the wire, but for some reason I just now thought of posting here.
Before tags were due a guy at my father's work told us to put in for some private land only antelope doe tags and he could get us on to fill a doe tag. Well, I drew but my father didn't. Long story short is that a couple weeks ago the guy said his contacts aren't letting anybody on to hunt this year so we're outta luck.
I'm in the process of scrambling to see if I can find some property up around Craig or Maybell to fill a doe antelope tag. If I can't find anywhere I'm gonna head over to the DOW office Friday afternoon and turn the tag back in.
I've been talking to anybody and everybody I can think of trying to find somewhere to hunt. Nobody that I know, knows anybody with any property up there.
Any suggestions from you guys?
Maybe one of the MMer's would let me come try and fill a doe antelope tag?
