They'd show you they're going to the Mountains rather it be closed or not!

I just don't think most TARDS know how dangerous it really is?

I still see JACKASS TARDS throwing cigarettes out their vehicle windows at night,GEEZUS!

How bout the JACK-TARD they caught on Echo Dam with the Bong-Fire?

Closed to all Fires but We've still got some real Brain Storms!

So,you wanna confine me to the Cougar Den Huh?:D

You can't stop the lightening from starting fires. It is going to be a rough year. All you can hope is that your honey hole doesn't burn. On a positive note, I saw a herd of elk hanging out in last years burn. Had quality feed all around the burn and irrigated fields below, but every elk was in the old burn. Makes ya think...

Glad Summit County ain't f'n around with the fires!! One piece of sage or oak brush catches fire out there say g'bye to Ensign, Echo Creek, Castle Rock, Grass Valley/Clark Canyon!!

Although STTM is probably and sadly right about the dorks out there that will still violate the mountains if their closed down you do have to admit it would or could reduce most potential fires.

I just went to campground with my camper this weekend. Obviously I knew there would be no fires. Because I was only up around the 5000 foot level it was pretty hot, got to be around 104 or so in the area. All I wanted to do was crank up the on board generator, run my A/C and a big fan I have with a mister system on it. I was not allowed to run the on board generator as was warned by the camp host. But I could run my little generator inside the camper, WTH?they want me to die or what? Actually did end up running it for the fan under the roof over the picnic tables. I put the exhaust facing out the door but the camper was pretty heat soaked and took a long time to cool down. My little generator won't pull the A/C unit. My on board generator is no different than a vehicle. Has a muffler with a spark arrestor AND I was on dirt for 20 yards in any direction. But, I guess they need to do it for the tards of the world.

If they outlaw going to the mountains, only outlaws will be in the mountains. :)

Well, the range tech may be thinking about it, but I guarantee the USDA is not, they would have to be the ones who make that decision. It would be stupid if they did.

roy thats not ture, the forest. and blm can close roads , any time they think thier is just cause,,,,,such as fire danger, please stay in texas roy with your smarts , you might end up the gov.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-02-12 AT 09:45AM (MST)[p]why would you close the mountains? quit watching the news fires are good

1. fires are great ( habitat imporoves and it cleans the understory) as long as homes/lives are not lost.

2 all the fire suppression the last 40+ years has created massive overgrowth and excessive fuel. so now the fires are gigantic and hard to control.

I am not saying that they can't or don't have authority to close roads, just that the USDA and the Dept. of the Interior both espouse policies of USE over policies of conservation or in this case, fire prevention. There is too much private interest and commerce involved for them to "close the mountains" and it would not be a very astute move at this juncture. It would be a stupid knee-jerk reaction to a situation for which they have already drafted a management plan. There have been worse years for fires and that never stopped them before. They have proven over the course of the years that they don't listen to their top scientists half the time, let alone range technicians.

I have seen brief closures of select areas here in southern CA during the worst of the fire season but never the entire range.

Eldorado

small fires yes. this shzz no, if the whole mountain burns where do our wildlife go? your ground. so you can ##### about your lost hay,,, lets all hope for rain, so it doesnt come to that,,,,

A few years ago they closed most of the Six Rivers NF down here in Kali. It was at the beginning of the deer season too. The Forest Service did it.

I stayed out of the forest, but a lot of 'tard transplants went hunting and had the whole place to themselves. I never heard of anyone getting busted.

The next time they close it, F'em I'm going hunting. I'll just play dumb if I get caught.

We are in such desperate need of either logging or fire it's not even funny. How can we be so stupid?

sttm. killed for good huh? ha good grief man! good grief! plant in fall, as long as we got some winter moisture to keep the seed alive, we will not have problems. even without the fire everything will die without moisture not just the new burns haha geez man!

Summer range fire = Good for Deer/Elk
Winter range fire = Bad for Deer/Elk

i wish they could stay on the burn. however the elk and deer do.

wildfire= healthy range.
suppression= mega fires( like some this year) waiting to happen.

most of these fires are under 15k acres of range.(22.9 million acres of blm in utah) some fires a bit bigger, but bigger ones are mostly in in summer range anyway. the under 15k acre fires are not gonna effect deer that bad on their winter range for a year. you tards say they eat sage all winter, well i can guarantee there is still plenty of it all around ALL of these fires that the deer can "eat" then next year when the real feed bgins to grow it will be better for the long term.

weird how alot of sheds come off of burns isnt it? unless those are magic deer and elk that shed on summer ranges? yeah thats it!

OX, I SEE THE GOV. IS SETING UP SOME FREE FEED MONEY FOR YOU RANCHERS THAT GOT YOU FREE FEED BRUNT OUT' THAT SHOULD MAKE YOUR TRUCK PAYMENT. SO YOU CAN STILL SELL YOU HAY ...

With all due respect....your an idiot elkun. If you had any brains at all you would realize what many ranchers do for wildlife. I'm not gonna sit and argue with some out of the loop J.A. like yourself. Go to your basement and be the armchair biologist that you desperatley want to be, while jacking off into your overgrown sage brush and Pj pics in your little books written by people from the east coast that dont set foot in the west. ill on the other hand continue to improve range and water your wildlife for free for you!

lmfao! hahaha most hunters pay nothing absoulutely nothing but tag fees and how much of that goes to the ground? just so you know i put more time and effort in to maintain water and restore habitat in one year then you do in a lifetime! if you had any idea what ranchers did you would feel pretty stupid right about now!

so buddy tell me how much money have you put into wildlife haha 35 bucks a year? cause i pay all the tag fees also!.

"ranchers dont pay fair share" wafj. jus to get water to an area that has no water we are paying 800 dollars a month to pump water 7 miles from our private well so there is water there. do you know what benefits? your elk and deer that you pay nothing but 35 dollars a year for. that is just one of the spots on the ranch we do that with. we have ripped in miles and miles of pipelines with our personal bulldozer and our personal time and money to run water throughout that country. if we did not there would be no deer, rabbits, antelope, cows, elk, mice, mustangs, or anything living in that country!
so tell me what do you do for the wildlife elkun? cause most punks like you just whine and do nothing!

id suggest you close your moagzine "over 40 years of bush" porno and do some research into what ranchers actually do so you dont sound so stupid next time you post. cause everything i just stated is a fact!

we have put tens of thousands of dollars in to habitat restoration, and water improvements what have you done?

fyi i spent all last winter on a tractor doing habitat restoration! now those several thousand acres of habitat looks great and is actually usuable.

elkun- joking or not, which i presume you were not. there are many people that say what your saying and if only those people knew the real truth

theox is right on here. these fires are unfortunate but needed. just an fyi we had a thousand acre fire that covered some private ground we lease and blm ground we run on also. it was overgrown and poor feed. we split the cost of reseeding with the blm and did not graze it for 3 years per our agreement. this year we were able to graze it and its the best winter/spring ground we have.

ps we did the work to reseed and spent money to improve public lands. for the last 3 years the deer have been the only animals to use the land.

grazing/fires make way for new growth and ultimately imporve the habitat

hlappy 4th some fires are under control,,, lets hope for rain,, desertdeer, thank you for the work you do,,,,i like pissing ox off , hes so e asy,,, i know ranchers do some good,,,
