So if you have to show the shooter how to use the gun before handing it over... Probably not the guy you want shooting in that case... Guy got lucky the lion was in flight and not fight mode...

In africa they have a saying for events such as that. "A bunch of soft cocks with no plan". Thats how people get seriously hurt, with wild animals, with horses, and definately with a bunch of loaded weapons.

I always like it when you've got a feel fot the Hunter & His BS long before you've got a Cat Treed!

The Weapons being Drawn by all the Guides Tells the Story Perfectly!

Been Brushed a Couple Times!

Both times were Due to Great White Hunters making PISS POOR Shots!

"""Supporting Speed Limits doesn't make You Anti Car"""

No & You'll never Fix STUPID or WACKO'S by changing Gun Laws You Dumb BITTCH!

Did everyone that shot have a tag for the lion?
Whats' the outfitters name? I'd like to book with him! Looks like a quality outfitter.

HorseCreek - it was in Texas. Lions are not protected here, no tag is required, only a Texas hunting license, which all of the shooters would have been required to have, but the Super-Combo is available OTC for $68 for residents, $315 for non-residents. This was not on public land, but a ranch, so they would have had to pay the guide service. According to the website listed below the video, and all-inclusive 5 day mountain lion hunt is just $2400.

Here is the link to their predator hunt page:

PleaseDear - yes. The shot was fatal, it was with a .45-70. Apparently, the cat made it about 250 yards after being hit.

I took this video from a thread on Orangebloods.com (a Rivals.com site for Texas football fans). The OP there was one of the guides. He posted some info on the hunt but didn't get questioned too much about the guiding tactics used as the thread quickly turned into a "hunters are such puzzies" thread and was subsequently deleted.

That's all I know.

Whatever, Roy. I recognize you as the guide! All this time you had me tricked into calling you professor.

LOL, great video, thanks for sharing.

About as organized as a night time coon hunt without dogs down on Ashley Creek right??

Not everything goes as planned when wild critters are involved... I was impressed that the horse didn't spook to bad.. I have known a few horses that would still be running had they ever experienced that...lol

>What a memory! Did we kill
>any coons that night?

I don't think so! Hell, we were lucky not to kill ourselves!

I think the next day though we did end up catching about 100 crawdads in a big white bucket to take home for your "pet" coon.

The lion had every chance to go after any of those folks
but didnt. Interesting.
I find it interesting, also, that so many people here assume
what is suppose to happen after a animal is shot.
Sure the hunter could have dropped it with a head/neck shot but I wasnt there and I'm sure he took the best shot that he had under the circumstances.
Great video!
Thanks for sharing.

Limit all US politicians to two terms.. One in office
One in prison ......
Illinois already does this, and it seems to be working for them.
