I would not trust a clamp on muzzle brake. Just a few thousands out of alignment and you will end up shooting your muzzle brake off the barrel. Have it installed by a gunsmith with experience installing them. It needs to be dialed in to the bore on the lathe within 1 thousand when cutting the threads on the barrel.

Clamp on ? I have never heard of a product like that? Clamp on with threads ? I wouldn't trust it. You might shoot it off into the deer your aiming at. :)

Muley spend the money and have a KDF muzzle brake installed on your rifle. We have four installed on various rifles. A KDF muzzle brake will reduce the recoil of a 300wby mag. To no more than a 30/06. My Dad in his 80's could shoot his Wby. Off a bench for hours with that brake.

Funny thing though, all muzzle brakes sent the noise level for people at the range scattering. They don't last long on the benches on either side of the shooter. BUT the noise goes out sideways. Never bothered us at all.

Surf the web and find somebody that is certified to install that brake even if you have to ship the rifle someplace. They thread the end of the barrel and screw the brake on. They will measure your barrel and order the correct brake to give a nice smooth in line finish. Not like some of those goofy fat looking brakes.
good Luck,
