just havin' a talk with God to pass the time
swapin' Huntin stories with God this old friend of mine
when some Illegal ATV riders started sneakin' in from the back
started pokin' fun at my Camo hat
one ol' boy said "Hey Tard where'd you park your Quad?"
I just pulled my Camo hat down low but they couldn't be ignored
one Fat & Lazy fella said "I think I'll rip that Camo hat right off your head."
that's when I turned around and this is what I said

"You'll ride a Green Kawasaki 'cross the western Sky
push an ol Red Honda and wish the gas tank wasn't dry
Joy ride on a Plaris, and wish the Tires were not flat
long before you take this Hunters Camo hat


"Now partner this old Camo hat is better left alone
see it used to be my daddy's
but, last year he passed on
my nephew skined the rattler that makes up this ol' hatband
but, back in sixty nine he died in vietnam
now the eagle feather was given to me by an indian friend of mine
but, someone ran he down somewhere around that Arizona line
and a real special lady gave me this hatpin
and I don't know if I'll ever see her again

he turned back to the others and they all just kinda shuffled on back down the trail
but when God turned back towards me
I noticed he's ol' hatbrim
well it was turned up in a big ol' U-Tard grin

Well done!!! Favorite "concert" I ever went to was a shindig I had the pleasure of getting invited to at a little joint in ridgeway colorado that was owned by Dennis Weaver.....I believe it was called "The Big Barn". I worked with an old rodeo buddy of Chris Ledoux by the name of Fidel Olivas and the two of us got to sit at the bar drinking cocktails and shooing the chit with Chris and Dennis. Definitely a priveledge and a memory I won't soon forget. I guarantee there wasn't a speck of dust that didn't get knocked down from that ceiling when Chris rocked it out. Just awesome.
