I just picked up a dozen new arrows today.
Cheetah 4570's and some 100 grain Slick Trick broadheads.
Anyone tried either of these?
I hear the Cheetah's are really fast, I'll let you know.

Love the Slick Trick's! I have seen numerous elk and deer taken with these broadheads...

You bought a screaming arrow!! Fast and durable, with one of the best heads on the market. Proof is in the pudding, and you bought them from one of the best stores in the west!! Talk to you later-Hornhole.

The Cheetah 45/70 is fast because it's super lite, in general super lite arrows are week. Earlier this year I was shooting a Bowtech Patriot Dually with 60 lb limbs so I went on a hunt for a 300 grain arrow that was durable and ended up buying the Cheetas 45/70. These arrows didn't hold up very well at all coming out of a bow that shoots 318! At a local 3-D shoot we had a foam apple that was closer to the size of a volleyball set across a meadow up against a knoll about 175 yards away. Needless to say that out of six arrows I shot at it 3 were broken when I retrieved them. There wasn't a rock in site and at that distance the arrow had lost the majority of it's kinetic energy.....so to make a long story short I wasn't impressed. If it were me I'd go a little heavier, especially since your hunting with them. On the other hand, you've picked a top notch broadhead, Gary at Slick Trick has done a hell of a job with these heads!

I bought these same arrows last fall and they really are fast! They don't hold up very well though. I broke 3 of them within the first hour during my sight in session. Once sighted in, I never broke another one until I shot a bull elk a few weeks later.
The arrow went through the shoulder blade on the left side, and out the opposite side through the ribs. It was still intact when I found the bull, but when I moved him to pull the arrow out the shaft broke off even with the ribs on the off side. I am still going to hunt with them even though I have shot tougher arrows. They shoot really well.

The buck I shot last week broke the arrow off inside his ribcage.
When his shoulder swung back it snapped the arrow off inside.
The Slick Trick broadhead performed very well, creating severe damage to vital organs.
I do believe that the 45/70's are not as durable as some, but they are fast and they got the job done on my first buck.
