celestron regal 80 ed

I was searching for spottingscopes,because I needed to upgrade from my old cheap model , I had been searching and looking for awhile couldn't bring my self to spend 3000.00 on the one I wanted . A friend wanted to show me a scope he bought online for just over 500.00 celestron regal 80 ED. Its a bit heavier than high dollar scopes but I found the scope to be really clear bright even at full zoom not as good as the top makers but real close. IMO it out performed bushnell elite, and nikon, it has a few flaws, its around 67 oz a little heavy but for the price I couldn't pass it up. I figured to pack a few extra oz its worth the savings. Really impressed

Celestron has to have some good glass as the better astronomical scopes tend to have the highest tolerances.
